Regular Season Round 15: Den Bosch - Leeuwarden 76-66

Date: January 23, 2016
Rather predictable result when third ranked Den Bosch (9-5) defeated at home 5th ranked Leeuwarden (6-9) 76-66 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Den Bosch. Leeuwarden managed to win fourth quarter 26-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Den Bosch looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Den Bosch made 9 blocks. It was a great evening for Serbian-Canadian forward Dejan Kravic (211-90, college: Texas Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. International guard Arvin Slagter (191-85, agency: Court Side) helped adding 9 points and 6 assists. Den Bosch's coach Samuel Jones let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Javier Duren (193-93, college: Yale) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Scottish forward Alasdair Fraser (201-92, college: Maine, agency: Court Side) scored 14 points. Defending champion maintains third place with 9-5 record having five points less than leader Zwolle, which they share with Groningen. Leeuwarden at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Den Bosch is looking forward to face league's leader Zwolle on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Leeuwarden will play against Groningen (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
