Regular Season Round 29: Inter Bratislava - Nitra 96-62

Leader Inter Bratislava delivered the twenty second victory. This time they crushed 8th ranked Nitra (6-20) 96-62. Inter Bratislava dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Nitra's 32 and made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Nitra 43-24 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Inter Bratislava players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Nitra's players. The former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (205-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: Beo Basket) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward Andrej Kuffa (203-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Inter Bratislava's coach Lubomir Urban felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian guard Filip Simic (185-90, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 13 points and 4 assists and center Adam Stefek (207-93) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Nitra. Inter Bratislava (22-4) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place. Nitra lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 20 games lost. Inter Bratislava will play against Rieker KN (#4) in Komarno in the next round. Nitra will play at home against Iskra Svit (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
