Regular Season Round 15: Betanzos - Rosalia 52-56

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Rosalia and 10th ranked Betanzos had identical 1-8 record. But Betanzos was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Santiago de Camp. 56-52 on Sunday night. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 56-52. Rosalia forced 25 Betanzos turnovers. Strangely Betanzos outrebounded Rosalia 55-32 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Anton Bouzan (188-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Luis Lopez (-96) helped adding 11 points. The best for the losing side was center Marcos Rozas (202-83) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and Jose Miguel Perez (202-96) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Rosalia (2-8) moved-up to tenth place in Group A-B, which they share with Estudiantes L. Betanzos lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. Rosalia will face Estudiantes L. (#10) in Lugo in the next round. Betanzos will play on the road against Leon and hope to win that game.
