Regular Season Round 13: Hoverla - Halychyna 78-72

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Halychyna (8-5) against sixth ranked Hoverla (6-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Halychyna was defeated by Hoverla in a tough game in Frankivsk 72-78. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Halychyna. Halychyna was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 42-32 second half run of Hoverla. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Halychyna was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Victor Ljuljdjuraj (203, college: Albertus Magnus) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Jayon James (198-92, college: La-Monroe) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. American guard Larry Hall (190-83, college: W.Oregon) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists and the former international center Volodymyr Gurtovyy (207-75) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Halychyna in the defeat. Hoverla moved-up to fifth place, which they share with BK Kremen. Halychyna at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Hoverla will play against league's leader Dnipro in Dnepropetrovsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Halychyna will have a break next round.
