No shocking result in a game when second ranked Armani Milano (13-4) crushed 10th ranked Openjobmetis VA (7-10) in Varese 86-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Armani Milano. Openjobmetis VA was better in fourth quarter 28-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American-Serbian Charles Jenkins (191-89, college: Hofstra) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points. Croatian swingman Krunoslav Simon (197-85) contributed with 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. American center Brandon Davies (208-91, college: BYU) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Maalik Wayns (185-91, college: Villanova) added 10 points in the effort for Openjobmetis VA. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Armani Milano have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Openjobmetis VA keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. Armani Milano will face Scandone AV (#6) in Avellino in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Openjobmetis VA will play on the road against VL Pesaro (#16) and hope to win that game.
