Regular Season Round 15: Hapoel B/S - Hapoel K/S 76-63

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Hapoel B/S (11-4) beat 7th ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (6-9) in Beer Sheva 76-63 on Tuesday. Hapoel B/S dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Kfar Saba's 30. They outrebounded Hapoel Kfar Saba 47-33 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. American players dominated also this game. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: Cent.Florida) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) accounted for 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Hapoel B/S players scored in double figures. Guard Vernon Teel (193-87, college: Loyola Mary) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Hapoel Kfar Saba in the defeat. Hapoel B/S moved-up to third place, which they share with Ironi K-A. Hapoel Kfar Saba lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Hapoel B/S will meet league's second-placed Galil Gilboa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hapoel Kfar Saba will play against Ironi Ramat Gan (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
