Regular Season Round 15: Tochigi Brex - Nishinomiya S. 88-65

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Nishinomiya S. (5-22) was outscored on the road by second ranked Tochigi Brex (22-6) 88-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. Tochigi Brex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Nishinomiya S.'s 46. It was a good game for American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Tommy Brenton (196-89, college: Stony Brook) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. American Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Noriaki Dohara (178-89) added 9 points in the effort for Nishinomiya S.Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tochigi Brex maintains second place with 22-6 record behind leader Toyota Alvark. Nishinomiya S. lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 22 games lost. Tochigi Brex will face bottom-ranked Tsukuba R. (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
