Regular Season Round 18: Stal Ostrow - Rosa Radom 69-62

The most important game in the last round took place in Ostrow Wlkp. between third ranked Rosa (13-4) and eleventh ranked Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (9-9) on Saturday night. Rosa was defeated by Stal Ostrow Wlkp. in a tough game on the road 62-69. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Rosa. Rosa trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 18-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 62-69 at the end of the game. American guard Curtis Millage (188-81, college: Arizona St.) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Bulgarian Hristo Nikolov (200-85, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 19 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Bosnian power forward Seid Hajric (204-83) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American point guard Torey Thomas (178-85, college: Holy Cross) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Rosa's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. moved-up to ninth place. Rosa at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. are looking forward to face higher ranked Twarde Pierniki (#3) in Torun in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Rosa will play at home against PGE Turow and is hoping to win this game.
