Regular Season Round 19: Cassino - Roma Luiss 82-67

Very expected game when 12th ranked Roma Luiss (7-12) lost on the road to fifth ranked Cassino (13-6) 82-67 on Saturday. Cassino made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Roma Luiss' players. It was a very good performance for power forward Luca Ianes (203-80, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Daniele Grilli (191-87) contributed with 25 points and 5 steals for the winners. Leonardo Marcon (189-95) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Giacomo Chiatti (183-86) added 13 points in the effort for Roma Luiss. Roma Luiss' coach Andrea Paccarie rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cassino moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Crema. Loser Roma Luiss dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. Cassino will face Venafro (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Roma Luiss will play against Maddaloni (#13) and hope to win that game.
