Regular Season Round 16: Masnou - JAC Sants 63-67

Rather expected game in Barcelona where 7th ranked Masnou (6-9) was defeated by fifth ranked JAC Sants (9-7) 67-63 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 67-63. Masnou was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Adria Vazquez (183-89) fired 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Sergi Coll (194-91) chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds. JAC Sants' coach Miki Larraz used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Jaume Solans (197-91) produced 20 points and 8 rebounds and forward Francisco Jimenez (201-84) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. JAC Sants moved-up to fourth place in Group C-A. Masnou lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. JAC Sants will face Sant Lluis (#10) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Masnou will play against Arenys in Arenys del Mar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
