Regular Season Round 19: Crema - Volpino 73-67

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Volpino (7-12) lost on the road to fourth ranked Crema (13-6) 73-67 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Crema made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for power forward Gabriele Zanella (204-81) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Pietro Del Sorbo (187-85) contributed with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Power forward Michele Squeo (206-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Volpino. Four Volpino players scored in double figures. Volpino's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Crema maintains fourth place in B with 13-6 record. Volpino lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. Crema will face Varese Coels. (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Volpino will play against Desio and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
