Regular Season Round 19: Desio - Lecco 70-77

The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Lecco's (11-7) road victory over 8th ranked Desio (10-9) 77-70 on Sunday. Lecco made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for power forward Jacopo Balanzoni (202-93, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Giulio Mascherpa (185-92, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 27 points for the winners. Forward Andrea Negri (193-88) answered with 16 points and forward Edoardo Gallazzi (199-86) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Desio. Five Desio players scored in double figures. Lecco moved-up to sixth place in B. Loser Desio keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Lecco will face Pavia (#10) at home in the next round. Desio will play against Volpino and hope to win that game.
