Very expected game when 14th ranked Sangiorgese (5-14) was smashed by eighth ranked Vicenza (11-8) in San Giorgio 75-56 on Sunday. Vicenza made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for forward Andrea Campiello (200-87) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Gianluca Valesin (193-92) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Vicenza players scored in double figures. Point guard Andrea Tassinari (182-96) answered with 17 points and power forward Alessandro Priuli (200-86, agency: Players Group) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sangiorgese. Vicenza moved-up to seventh place in B. Loser Sangiorgese keeps the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Vicenza will face league's second-placed Orzinuovi GaGa at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
