Undefeated Aishin Wings (3-1) recorded its first loss in Nagoya on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Mitsubishi K. (3-1) 73-56. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Aishin Wings. The game without a history. Mitsubishi K. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international swingman Aya Watanabe (170-92) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 assists for the winners. Guard Midori Kazama (168-90) chipped in 20 points. The former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Koizumi Haruka (164-89) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mitsubishi K. moved-up to seventh place in Places 6-11, which they share with Aishin AW. Mitsubishi K. is looking forward to face Haneda Vickies (#9) in Tokyo in the next round. Aishin Wings will play on the road against Toyota B SR in Aichi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
