Regular Season Round 16: Galil Gilboa - Hapoel B/S 95-59
Date: February 2, 2016
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Galil Gilboa as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Galil Gilboa smashed 4th ranked Hapoel B/S in Rosh Pina 95-59. Galil Gilboa made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Galil Gilboa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The winners were led by Orel Lev (195-93) who scored that evening 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Guy Dotan (178-91) supported him with 16 points and 5 assists. Five Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. Even 6 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks by American power forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: Cent.Florida) did not help to save the game for Hapoel B/S. His fellow American import guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 16 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Newly promoted Hapoel B/S keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Hapoel B/S will play next round against Hap.R/G Givat. trying to get back on the winning streak. Galil Gilboa will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Ironi Ramat Gan on the road.
