The game with biggest result difference took place in Doha. Local Al Arabi (4-12) outscored 10th ranked Al Ahli (1-15) 113-78. The game was mostly controlled by Al Arabi. Al Ahli was better in second period 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Al Arabi dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Al Ahli's 54. Al Arabi forced 24 Al Ahli turnovers. Soyebo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Al Arabi players scored in double figures. Coach Hatem Mamlouk's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ndoye Elhadj came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Terrence Joyner (190-88, college: Miss.Valley St.) added 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Al Ahli in the defeat. Al Arabi maintains eighth place with 4-12 record. Al Ahli lost their ninth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Al Arabi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Shamal.
