Regular Season Round 16: Denain - Poitiers 80-77

A very interesting game took place in Denain. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Poitiers (8-8) to thirteenth ranked Denain Voltaire (8-8) 80-77 in the fight for the seventh place. It looked good early as Poitiers took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Denain Voltaire took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 3 points. 25 personal fouls committed by Poitiers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for American power forward Charles Jackson (203-87, college: Hawaii-Pacific, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Isaia Cordinier (194-96) contributed with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Denain Voltaire's coach Jean-Christophe Prat allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188, college: Dakota Wesleyan) replied with 26 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Guyanese Mike Joseph (203-94) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Poitiers. Denain Voltaire have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Poitiers.
