Regular Season Round 16: Evreux - Lille 92-84

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked ALM Evreux (10-6) beat at home 14th ranked Lille Metropole (6-10) 92-84 on Friday. Lille Metropole trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 23-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 84-92 at the end of the game. ALM Evreux forced 21 Lille Metropole turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals and Senegalese power forward Babacar Niang (206-91, agency: Comsport) who added 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard T.J. Price (193-93, college: W.Kentucky) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Thomas Ceci-Diop (199-92) scored 16 points. Four ALM Evreux and five Lille Metropole players scored in double figures. ALM Evreux have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Bourg. Loser Lille Metropole dropped to the sixteenth position with ten games lost. ALM Evreux will face Le Portel (#5) on the road in the next round. Lille Metropole will play against Nantes (#13) and hope to win that game.
