Regular Season Round 35: Kyoto Hannar. - Okinawa GK 76-84

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Kyoto Hannar. (22-7) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Okinawa GK (23-9) 84-76. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-76. Okinawa GK made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points. American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) scored 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Okinawa GK keeps a position of league leader. Kyoto Hannar. at the other side dropped to the second place with seven games lost. Okinawa GK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kyoto Hannar. will play again at home against the league's leader Okinawa GK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
