Regular Season Round 18: Rawia - Sudety 64-71

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Rawia (13-5) against sixth ranked Sudety (10-8) on Saturday night. Host Rawia was defeated by Sudety in a tough game in Rawicz 64-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Rawia. Guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) notched 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and power forward Pawel Minciel (203-88) supported him with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Even 22 points and 4 assists by swingman Szymon Maciolek (190-91) did not help to save the game for Rawia. Power forward Jakub Dryjanski (202-82) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Rawia's coach Marek Lebiedzinski tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sudety have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position in Group D with 10-8 record. Rawia at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Sudety's next round opponent will be higher ranked Nowa Sol (#5) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Rawia will play against the league's leader Polonia Leszno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
