Very expected game when 15th ranked Bayer Giants (3-18) lost on the road to third ranked Kirchheim Knights (16-6) 78-61. Kirchheim Knights players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized Albanian guard Besnik Bekteshi (189-93) who scored 19 points and 4 assists. British forward Keith Rendleman (203-90, college: NC-Wilmington) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Rod Camphor (191-92, college: SW Oklahoma St.) who recorded 16 points and 4 assists and center Dennis Heinzmann (216-91) added 13 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
