Regular Season Round 16: Boulazac - Orchies 86-82

Very predictable result when sixth ranked Boulazac Basket (9-7) defeated at home bottom-ranked Orchesien BC (3-13) 86-82 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Boulazac Basket made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Orchesien BC was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import David Jackson (195-86, college: W.Illinois) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Boulazac Basket's coach Antoine Michon used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American swingman Anthony Smith (195-86, college: Liberty) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Pierric Poupet (191-84) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boulazac Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Le Portel. Orchesien BC lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Boulazac Basket will face Chorale de Roanne (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Orchesien BC will play against Charleville-Mezieres and hope to win that game.
