The game in Saporro supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Toshiba Thunders (21-10) played at the court of 6th ranked Hokkaido L. (14-18). Toshiba Thunders did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 85-65 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Toshiba Thunders. Hokkaido L. managed to win third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toshiba Thunders made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Hokkaido L. turnovers. American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and the former international swingman Naoto Tsuji (185-89) chipped in 23 points. American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and the former international center Fumihiko Aono (210-78) scored 5 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toshiba Thunders maintains fourth place with 21-10 record. Loser Hokkaido L. keeps the sixth position with 18 games lost. Toshiba Thunders will meet at home Nishinomiya S. (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hokkaido L. will play against Aishin Sea Horses (#3) in Kariya and hope to secure a win.
