Regular Season Round 22: Naestved - SISU 95-80

There was no surprise when 8th ranked SISU (3-20) was defeated on the road by third ranked Naestved (15-8) 95-80 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Naestved. SISU managed to win second period 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded SISU 39-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Naestved looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Naestved made 8 blocks. American guard Caleb Walker (193-89, college: Nebraska) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Troy Franklin (183-89, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side point guard August Haas (180-97) responded with 27 points and American Maurice Creek (196-90, college: G.Washington, agency: CGL Sports) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Naestved maintains third position with 15-8 record having three points less than leader Horsens IC. SISU lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Naestved will meet at home league's leader Horsens IC in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SISU will play against the league's second-placed Bakken (#2) and hope to secure a win.
