Regular Season Round 37: Soles - Abejas 107-89

LNBP top team - Soles (33-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixth ranked Abejas (14-19) in Mexicali 107-89. The game was mostly controlled by Soles. Abejas was better in fourth quarter 30-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Soles forced 20 Abejas turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. International forward Juan Anderson (198-93, college: Marquette) contributed with 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Travis Franklin (200-88, college: Colorado St.) answered with 27 points and 5 rebounds and American-Jamaican forward McHugh Mattis (198-84, college: S.Florida) added 15 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Abejas. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Soles have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 33-3 record. Abejas at the other side keep the sixth position with 19 games lost. Soles' next round opponent will be again Abejas (#6) in Guanajuato which should be theoretically an easy game.
