Second Stage Round 3: Dragon Force - Sangalhos 61-65

Another exciting game was played in Porto between Sangalhos and Dragon Force where Sangalhos (2-7) won against Dragon Force (4-5) on the road 65-61. They outrebounded Dragon Force 53-32 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dragon Force was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for swingman Emanuel Silva (188-79) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Luis Fonte (191-79) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Pedro Oliveira (179-97) answered with 19 points and forward Nuno Sa (197-97) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Dragon Force. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sangalhos will play against Terceira in Angra Heroismo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dragon Force will play at home against Angrabasket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
