Regular Season Round 18: Mieres BVM - Rosalia 82-55

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Mieres BVM (9-4) outplayed at home 11th ranked Rosalia (2-11) 82-55 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Mieres BVM. Rosalia was better in fourth quarter 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mieres BVM shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. It was a good game for American forward Tim Dezelski (198-90, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Brazilian center Leandro Miranda (205-91) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Mieres BVM players scored in double figures. American center John Swords (213-92, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) replied with 10 points and 5 rebounds and guard Anton Bouzan (188-95) added 9 points in the effort for Rosalia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mieres BVM moved-up to third place in Group A-B, which they share with Grupo Inec Z. Rosalia lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Mieres BVM will face Leon (#6) on the road in the next round. Rosalia will play against Ourense (#5) and hope to win that game.
