Very expected game when 8th ranked Torrelodones (6-9) lost at home to second ranked Quintanar (12-3) 67-51 on Saturday. Quintanar dominated on the defensive end, holding Torrelodones to just 6 points in third quarter. It was a good game for Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Jerome Garrison (190, college: Grand Canyon) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Jordan Djounorou replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and forward Javier Salson (199-82, college: Bloomfield, agency: Duran International) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Torrelodones. Quintanar keeps a position of Group B leader, which they share with Albacete. Newly promoted Torrelodones keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. Quintanar will face Real Canoe (#4) in Madrid in the next round. Torrelodones will play on the road against La Roda (#14) and hope to win that game.
