There was no surprise in Las Palmas where 7th ranked Dominion BB (10-10) was defeated by fifth ranked Gran Canaria (13-7) 91-85 on Sunday. The game without a history. Gran Canaria led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Dominion BB was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Slovenian center Alen Omic (217-92) who scored 20 points. Australian swingman Brad Newley (199-85, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 18 points. American point guard Clevin Hannah (179-87, college: Wichita St.) produced 23 points and 7 assists and Greek center Giorgos Bogris (210-89) added 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Five Dominion BB players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gran Canaria have a solid four-game winning streak.
