Regular Season Round 18: Agustinos-Eras - Chantada 79-52

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Chantada (6-7) was outscored by first ranked Agustinos-Eras (12-1) in Leon 79-52 on Sunday. The game without a history. Agustinos-Eras led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Agustinos-Eras had a 39-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Canadian forward Nick Loewen (200-90) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 5 rebounds. American center Kevin Rima (204-92, college: NW Nazarene) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Agustinos-Eras' coach Adrian Alvarez felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Marcos Garcia (190-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Jacobo De Benito (180-90) added 8 points in the effort for Chantada. Agustinos-Eras have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A-B with 12-1 record. Loser Chantada keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Agustinos-Eras will face Estudiantes L. (#9) in Lugo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chantada will play on the road against Grupo Inec Z. in Zamora and hope to win that game.
