No shocking result in a game when first ranked Solna Branten (7-1) smashed on the road 8th ranked Talje Knights (1-7) 96-62 on Sunday. The game without a history. Solna Branten led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Talje Knights' 42. They outrebounded Talje Knights 43-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. Solna Branten looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Nick Smith (201-92, college: Dominican, NY) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds. Kenyan forward Tylor Ongwae (199-91, college: La-Monroe) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Four Solna Branten players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Adam Ramstedt (208-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and Ramon Mirianidis added 11 points and 4 assists respectively. Solna Branten maintains first position in Superettan with 7-1 record. Loser Talje Knights keep the eighth place with seven games lost. Solna Branten will face IK Eos (#7) in Lund in the next round where they are favorite. Talje Knights will play on the road against Eskilstuna and hope to win that game.
