Very predictable result when third ranked Falconara (17-4) edged on the road 10th ranked Porto S.Elpidio (8-13) 88-85 on Sunday. Porto S.Elpidio was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Giacomo Eliantonio (206-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Fabio Ruini (185-80) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Five Falconara players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Lorenzo Tortu (200-92) with 28 points and 7 rebounds and guard Lorenzo Andreani (190-87) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Newly promoted Falconara maintains third place in B with 17-4 record having just two points less than leader Forli, which they share with Bergamo. Loser Porto S.Elpidio keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Falconara will face Mola (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Porto S.Elpidio will play against the league's leader Montegrano (#1) and hope to win that game.
