Very predictable result when second ranked Napoli Basket (17-4) defeated on the road 13th ranked Isernia (4-17) 76-61 on Sunday. Napoli Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Isernia's 22. Isernia was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Davide Serino (199-81) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and swingman Christian Villani (200-82) chipped in 12 points. Napoli Basket's coach Giampaolo Di Lorenzo used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was swingman Alessandro Guagliardi (194-94) with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and naturalized Albanian power forward Klaudio Patani (190-96) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Napoli Basket maintains second place in B with 17-4 record having just two points less than leader Forli, which they share with Bergamo. Loser Isernia dropped to the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Napoli Basket will face Cassino (#4) at home in the next round. Isernia will play against Empoli (#7) and hope to win that game.
