Regular Season Round 22: Baunach - Trier 62-59

A very interesting game took place in Baunach. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Gladiators (12-11) to eleventh ranked Baunach (10-12) 62-59 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gladiators. 25 personal fouls committed by Gladiators helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of center Leon Kratzer (208-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Tibor Taras (197-97) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Dwayne Evans (198-92, college: St.Louis) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Brandon Spearman (190-91, college: Hawaii) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Gladiators. Gladiators' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Baunach maintains eleventh position with 10-12 record. Gladiators at the other side keep the seventh place with 11 games lost. Baunach's next round opponent will be higher ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (#8) on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
