There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Giulianova (9-13) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Bisceglie (9-13) 82-65 on Sunday. Giulianova was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Giovanni Gambarota (193-89) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and forward Mathias Drigo (202-89) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was forward Ferdinando Matrone (202-95) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and guard Lorenzo Bartoli (197-94) scored 15 points. Four Giulianova players scored in double figures. Bisceglie moved-up to tenth place in B. Bisceglie will face higher ranked Senigallia (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
