Regular Season Round 22: Jamtland - Boras 93-101 OT
Date: February 16, 2016
Ninth-ranked KFUM Jamtland (8-18) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Boras Basket (15-10). The visitors from Boras managed to secure only eight-point victory 101-93. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 22-20 run, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 18-10. Naturalized American point guard Omar Krayem (186-86, college: Cal.Baptist) notched 33 points (!!!) and 9 assists to lead the effort and Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) supported him with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 22 points, 11 assists and 4 steals by American point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St., agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for KFUM Jamtland. His fellow American import forward Najee White (203-90, college: Bowie St.) added 20 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boras Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 15-10 record. KFUM Jamtland lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 18 games lost. Boras Basket's next round opponent will be Nassjo (#6) on the road. KFUM Jamtland will play against the league's leader Sodertalje Kings and hope to win that game.
