Regular Season Round 24: Trotamundos - Bucaneros 63-69

Date: February 16, 2016
LPB top team - Bucaneros (14-5) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Trotamundos (9-10) in Valencia 69-63. Bucaneros made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Bucaneros outrebounded Trotamundos 51-26 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Spanish-Dominican power forward Edward Santana (203-80) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Spanish-Dominican Orlando Sanchez (206-88, college: St.John's) supported him with 6 points and 15 rebounds. Even 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists by the former international point guard David Cubillan (181-87, college: Marquette, agency: Pro Sports) did not help to save the game for Trotamundos. American Musa Abdul-Aleem (196-88, college: Troy) added 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bucaneros have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-5 record. Trotamundos at the other side keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
