There was a minor upset when higher ranked Charleville-Mezieres (8-10) lost at home to fifteenth ranked Saint Chamond (8-10) 78-69 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-69. Saint Chamond forced 20 Charleville-Mezieres turnovers. It was a good game for power forward Pierre Pelos (205-92) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Paul Turpin (190-93) contributed with 15 points and 4 steals for the winners. Four Saint Chamond players scored in double figures. American Christopher McKnight (201-87, college: Akron) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and American-British point guard Akeem Williams (178-91, college: Mass.-Lowell, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 16 points and 8 assists in the effort for Charleville-Mezieres. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Saint Chamond moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Charleville-Mezieres.
