Regular Season Round 18: Ramat Hasharon - Ironi K-A 103-104

Eighth-ranked Hasharon (7-11) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (14-4) in Ramat Hasharon on Tuesday. The visitors from Kiryat Ata managed to secure only one-point victory 104-103. However their fans expected much easier game. Strangely Hasharon outrebounded Ironi Kiryat Ata 49-32 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American guard Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St., agency: HMS) who saved his team from a defeat with 29 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Tomer Ginat (202-94) contributed with 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Billy McShepard (208-87, college: Valdosta St., agency: Blacktop Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 25 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks and his fellow American import forward Lorenzo Gordon (201-83, college: Oklahoma City) added 32 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Hasharon. Ironi Kiryat Ata have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 14-4 record behind leader Galil Gilboa. Hasharon at the other side keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Hapoel K/S and Hapoel Migd.H.. Ironi Kiryat Ata are looking forward to face Hapoel Kfar Saba (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Hasharon will play against Ironi Ashkelon and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
