No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Pescara (14-8) defeated on the road 9th ranked Giulianova (9-14) 73-68 on Wednesday. Pescara made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Giulianova turnovers. Strangely Giulianova outrebounded Pescara 39-24 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Simone Pepe (185-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Emidio Di Donato (200-92) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Ferdinando Matrone (202-95) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Danilo Gallerini (185-80) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Pescara moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Crema. Loser Giulianova keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Pescara will face Monteroni (#8) at home in the next round. Giulianova will play against Taranto and hope to win that game.
