Regular Season Round 34: Prievidza - Inter Bratislava 90-73

SBL round 34 caused change at the leadership position. Sixth defeat of league's leader Inter Bratislava (24-6) against second ranked Prievidza (24-6) 90-73 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Inter Bratislava. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Prievidza forced 20 Inter Bratislava turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian power forward Svetozar Stamenkovic (202-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Croatian forward Igor Maric (196-85, agency: PEPI SPORT) contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Ronnie Taylor (187-81, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Inception Sports) replied with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (205-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: Beo Basket) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Inter Bratislava. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Prievidza keeps a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Inter Bratislava. Inter Bratislava will play next round against strong Levice trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Prievidza will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Iskra Svit on the road.
