There was no surprise when 10th ranked Padova (8-14) was defeated on the road by first ranked Udine APU (20-2) 73-59 on Wednesday. Forward Riccardo Castelli (200-88) fired 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Point guard Mauro Pinton (185-84, agency: Two Points) chipped in 17 points. Forward Marco Lazzaro (198-92) produced 15 points and forward Enrico Crosato (194-85) added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Udine APU have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in B with 20-2 record. Newly promoted Padova keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. Udine APU will face Sangiorgese (#14) in San Giorgio in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Padova will play at home against Vicenza (#7) and hope to win that game.
