The game in Ciudad Victoria supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Pioneros (31-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Correcaminos (12-21). Pioneros smashed Correcaminos 114-90. Pioneros players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for international guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (183-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Pro Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 assists. American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) helped adding 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was American swingman Brandon Davis (198-88, college: Lamar, agency: Interperformances) with 27 points and the other American import Theron Laudermill (202-89, college: CS San Bernar.) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Pioneros and four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Pioneros maintains second place with 31-4 record having seven points less than leader Soles. Correcaminos at the other side keep the eighth position with 21 games lost. Pioneros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Correcaminos will play again at home against the league's second-placed Pioneros (#2) and hope to get back on the winning track.
