Regular Season Round 19: AGOR - Lavrio 87-85

A very interesting game took place in Rethymno. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 12th ranked Lavrio (6-13) to ninth ranked AGOR (8-11) 87-85 on Thursday evening. Lavrio was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 24-17 third quarter run of AGOR. They made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. 29 personal fouls committed by Lavrio helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Ryan Harrow (188-91, college: Georgia St.) who led the winners and scored 17 points. His fellow American import guard Rashad Madden (196-92, college: Arkansas) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Bosnian-Serbian Marko Keselj (206-88, agency: Beo Basket) came up with 25 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Demarius Bolds (193-84, college: Missouri Western) added 17 points respectively for Lavrio in the defeat. Four Lavrio players scored in double figures. Lavrio's coach Christos Serellis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for AGOR. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Lavrio lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. AGOR's next round opponent will be Aiolos Trikallon (#11) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Lavrio will play against Kolossos and hope to win that game.
