Regular Season Round 22: Mamak DSI - Denizli 72-91
Date: February 19, 2016
Not a big story in a game in Ankara where 11th ranked Mamak DSI (9-13) was outplayed by fourth ranked Denizli (15-7) 91-72. The game was mostly controlled by Denizli. Mamak DSI was better in second period 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for American center Hilton Armstrong (210-84, college: Connecticut) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The other American import point guard Kenny Boynton (188-91, college: Florida) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Four Denizli players scored in double figures. American power forward Brandon Peterson (204-90, college: Arkansas St.) replied with 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Hazer Avci (206-87, agency: Court Side) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Mamak DSI. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Denizli maintains fourth position with 15-7 record, which they share with Sakarya BSB.
