Regular Season Round 22: Malbas - Norrkoping 75-71

The most important game in the last round took place in Malmo between second ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (18-7) and eighth ranked Malbas (11-16) on Friday night. Norrkoping Dolphins were defeated by Malbas in a tough game on the road 71-75. Norrkoping Dolphins were trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 28-22 charge of Malbas, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Darion Rackley (190-92, college: Jacksonville St.) fired 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Carl Engstrom (216-91, college: Alabama) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. The former international center Joakim Kjellbom (212-79, college: N.Arizona) produced 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American center Josh Hairston (203-92, college: Duke) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Malbas maintains eighth position with 11-16 record. Norrkoping Dolphins at the other side keep the second place with seven games lost. Malbas are looking forward to face higher ranked Sundsvall Dragons (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against the league's leader Sodertalje Kings having rather not much hope for a victory.
