Regular Season Round 19: Paterna - Almassera 75-63

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Almassera (13-5) against fifth ranked Paterna (10-8) on Saturday night. Visiting Almassera was defeated by Paterna in Paterna 75-63. It looked good early as Almassera took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Paterna had a 22-16 second period charge getting the lead and Almassera was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-75. It was an exceptional evening for guard Carlos Cerdan (190-97) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Victor Arnau (184-91) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Dutch forward Jordan Kaspers (197-91) came up with 4 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Carlos Rodriguez (194-82) added 15 points respectively for Almassera in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Paterna. They maintain fifth place in Group E with 10-8 record. Almassera at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
