Regular Season Round 19: Gandia Basquet - Benidorm 62-60
Date: February 20, 2016
Eighth-ranked Benidorm (6-12) made lots of trouble for first ranked Gandia Basquet (17-1). Gandia Basquet managed to secure only two-point victory 62-60. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as Benidorm took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Gandia Basquet had a 17-10 second period charge getting the lead and Benidorm was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 60-62. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American center Shalawn Miller (205-74, college: Mass.-Lowell) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds. American forward Fitzgerald White (201-91, college: Union, KY) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Forward Javier Rodriguez (202-84) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Joscar Demby (203-88, college: Millikin) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Benidorm. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
