Regular Season Round 35: Iskra Svit - Prievidza 68-80

SBL top team - Prievidza (25-6) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Iskra Svit (9-23) 80-68. It looked good early as Iskra Svit took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Prievidza had a 17-10 second period charge getting the lead and Iskra Svit was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-80. Prievidza made 30-of-38 charity shots (78.9 percent) during the game, while Iskra Svit only scored eight points from the stripe. Iskra Svit was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a quality performance for Serbian power forward Svetozar Stamenkovic (202-90) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. American-Liberian point guard Jaytornah Wisseh (185-88, college: LIU Brooklyn) accounted for 11 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Five Prievidza players scored in double figures. American swingman Jarekious Bradley (196-90, college: SE Missouri St.) came up with 16 points and Serbian power forward Slobodan Bozovic (207-79) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Iskra Svit in the defeat. Prievidza maintains first place with 25-6 record. Iskra Svit at the other side keeps the seventh position with 23 games lost. Prievidza will play against Nitra (#8) in Nitra in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Iskra Svit will play on the road against Levice and hopes to get back on the winning track.
