No shocking result in a game in Madrid where seventh ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (11-8) defeated 11th ranked Olimpico 64 (5-14) 68-64 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 22-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. ASEFA Estudiantes forced 19 Olimpico 64 turnovers and outrebounded them 40-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. Center Mariana Gonzalez (187-88) fired 8 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Teresa Lopez Perez (180-96) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Irene San Roman (177-92) produced 13 points and power forward Carlota Egusquiza (182-87) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Olimpico 64 will play at home against Segle XXI and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
